IN PARKED WHILE BLACK NEWS: Thank goodness for video. Blacks have been experiencing all kinds of indignities, at best, and domestic terrorism (i.e. brutality, torture and murder), at worst, at the hands of law enforcement (and other American citizens) for over 150 years (not including slavery and atrocities committed during that time). Of course, our complaints and demands for justice went unheard or were dismissed altogether, with many denying such events even occurred or were exaggerated (sound familiar?). However, with the advent of video, we are now capturing more and more evidence of police corruption and violence against blacks and other people of color. Were able to display for all to see the absurd BS we encounter at the hands of those sworn to protect and serve us on a daily basis. Stuff we couldnt make up its so absurd. Of course, this uncovered video represents just a SMALL fraction of the injustices and indignities black and brown folk encounter EVERY DAY in this country, since most of our experiences go unrecorded. Let this video and others shared be a reminder of the importance of having a recording device at the ready. If you havent done so already, begin looking into your options. Your life (and freedom) may depend on it. **** In this video an NYPD officer hit the PARKED CAR of a black man, then ARRESTED that INNOCENT man on trumped up charges for the damage to the officers police vehicle - including the police favorite of resisting arrest. The charges were dropped only when video of the incident surfaced proving the officers lie. Now, imagine if such a video did NOT exist. Where would the INNOCENT black man be today? We all know the answer - in jail with a criminal CONVICTION on his record, impacting the rest of his life in a negative way (and adding to the false statistics that many harp on as truth - that blacks are more likely to commit crime because they are the ones arrested and convicted more than other groups).
