IN SEARCH FOR GREENER PASTURES (I) A young levite from Bethlehem in Judah, who had been living within the clan of Judah, left that town in search for some other place to stay. On his way he came to Micahs house in hill country of Ephraim.Judges17:7(NLT) Levites are devouts in israel, forbidden from possessing houses because God was their inheritance. Theyre to dwell in the taberncle forever. This young,vibrant but obsessed with youthful exuberance lost interest in staying in Judah. His strange desire for something else made him left Bethlehem(house of bread), he therefore broke the fence God gave, and went on a journey for greener pastures against Gods will. Progress in life is good,but we must know where God wants us to be at a time and when to move as He schedules. Getting new jobs is not wrong but we must check the motive for the change of taste. Pressure in the present state may just be to make you strong, if you run away, youll have missed a vital lesson.Let God guide you in all your life choices.
