IN-TENs Filmmaking Workshop: My North Tulsa Monday & Wednesday September 15 & 17 Rudisill Regional Library 1520 N Hartford Ave 6-8pm 918-549-7645. For ages 17 and older Spike Lee, Julie Dash, Oscar Micheaux and YOU! Begin your filmmaking career in this two-day workshop, offered by the African-American Resource Center. Filmmaker/producer Floyd White will teach participants the basics of directing and creating a short film, including scriptwriting, video camera techniques, basic lighting and editing. Each participant will create a 2 to 10 minute film on the topic My North Tulsa, using a cellphone, tablet of other photo equipment, and then will present the film on DVD for judging. The top six films selected by the judges will be shown on Thursday, October 2 from 6-8pm at the IN-TENs Film Fesitval; 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive trophies.
