IN THE NEWS - Elections always bring about promise for change and thankfully, school tuck shop reform is on the agenda. As they lobby for health reforms ahead of the QLD state election later this month, the head of the AMA Queensland said “The school tuckshops are supposed to be healthy places, but the reality is, they (aren’t).” Here - here! Then the controversy began when he firmly placed his foot in his mouth and said... “We’ve all seen tuckshop ladies and there’s a reason why they’ve got tuckshop arms.” He also said the QLD is at risk of sinking into the ocean due to the weight of the people that live here and warned that beach side residents are in trouble.
