INDEPENDENCE DEBATE :- What a lot of hooha . I was hoping Id learn something new . Id hoped to learn how we were going to build the implied success of an independent Scotland , Id hoped wed learn of new initiatives that arent possible within the UK or of overseas conglomerates or ex-pat billionaires who are waiting in the wings to invest in Scotland ,or that we would devalue our currency to increase inward investment or reduce corporation tax to give incentive for companies to relocate as we cant live off Gods gift of oil for ever and anyway the rights to it may not even belong to Scotland but nothing was declared . I thought that Darling was a damp squib with giving a very lacklustre encouragement of why we should remain in the UK , in fact neither gave great rallying calls for their respective views. An independence which is at the beck and call of Europe and of the Bank of England if we keep the £ is NOT INDEPENDENCE . A waste of time was this debate says I
