INDEPENDENCE OR STILL IN-DEPENDENCE? Written by iLN font size decrease font size increase font size Print Email Rate this item1 2 3 4 5 (3 votes) Independence or still in-dependence? First of all we take this stellar opportunity to wish Independence to all our readers. Necessarily change is the rule of the nature and we must abide by that, whether it is through transfer of power or through independence, we at ILN, pay tribute to all those revolutionaries who fought for the nation and devoted their lives for independence of the nation. Today after 66 years of the Independence when we are celebrating the 67th Independence Day of this great nation which has a glorious history and legacy of having the civilizations like Indus Valley Civilization, of education like in the Nalanda and Takshashila universities, of having one third share in global economy in the Asoka’s period, we need to look back into the nostalgic memories of happiness and sorrow. On 16th Aug, 1947 just a day after the Independence day, Annabhau Sathe a great writer, poet and composer proclaimed ‘Yeh Azadi Jhuti Hai Desh ki Janta Bhuki hai’ that is ‘this freedom is false since the citizens are starving’. He was not wrong at that time, but even today is he right? This is a question which must trouble each and every elite of the indigenous Indians and thus we are raising this inquiry of whether Independence or still in-dependence? In the 66 years of independence we have developed in the military and warfare with the powerful ballistic missiles, aircrafts, launchers and weaponry being added in our warfare technologies. We have crossed a remarkable figure in the infrastructural developments as well with the enhancement in industrial growth. We have established our identity as the champions in the sports like Cricket and boxing. India has won the ICC World Cup twice. We have been at the top in the games like Chess too. The increase in our share in the world economy is slow but steady. But at the end what Annabhau Sathe said is still a disgusting reality even today. A third of the world’s poor reside in India as per the World Bank’s report. According to the Sengupta committee’s report 83 Crore people in India have their daily income less than Rs. 20. Where is independence when majority of population is starving? Where is independence when even today votes are bought and sold to select the rulers? Where is independence when Caste system is dominant in all spheres of life? Where is independence when even an FIR of is not lodged? Corruption is not prevalent in our country rather we have absolute corruption here. Where is independence when the education system is still biased and the syllabus is entirely irrelevant and outdated?Independence literally means being not dependent on any external system or rulers. If we are the independent, the government is of our own people. If our own people are the rulers then why is there so much injustice and inequality in the nation? Why only specific class of people is developing? Why is this freedom not accessible to everyone? This series of questions is rhetorical. They carry their own answers. But together they give a common conclusion that- we are not independent. The day, on which we celebrate the Independence Day, Independence was not given to us, rather what occurred on this day was the transfer of power. A set of foreign rulers gave/transferred the power to the other set of rulers who are worse than foreigners (as per the DNA findings by Michael B the current ruling class are foreigners even). India needs a second struggle for freedom from the shackles of this inhumane rule and thus to establish a system based on equality, liberty, fraternity and justice. This is the purpose which Buddha gave to the nation, which great saints like Kabir, Ravidas and Tukaram too had propounded, which Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaja, Sambhaji Maharaja and Shahu Maharaja had fought for, which Mahatma Jyotirao Phule and mother Savitri Phule worked for the whole life and which Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar tried to realize during his lifetime. We must resolve to uproot this slavery and liberate ourselves from this shabby system. Indian Liberation News, as our name itself signifies is dedicated for this objective. Hope to celebrate independence soon. Note: We wish to see a better nation and proper justice to be done to the dedications of our revolutionaries who fought for the nation. But their dedications are going in vain because of our highly ambitious ruling class. All the humanitarian believers are welcomed to join this struggle being raged in India effectively by ILN and the organizations like BAMCEF and Bharat Mukti Morcha. Lakhs of dedicated activists are working day and night to realize this humanitarian goal. We take this opportunity to thank them as well on behalf of the nation.
