INDIAN LEADER OF THE FUTURE: Australia Awards scholar Pragati Rao Mandikal Vasuki, from Mysore in Karnataka, is part of a group of 130 future leaders taking part in the Australia Awards Leadership Conference, which has been launched by Foreign Minister Julie Bishop. Ms Vasuki was a research officer at the All India Institute of Speech and Hearing in Mysore before beginning a doctorate at Macquarie University last year. Her research is aimed at assisting people with hearing impairments and is expected to help improve rehabilitative audiology in India.
