INDO GLOBAL HOSTS INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON MANAGEMENT The Inter National Conference on Management held on 31st Oct at Indo Global Colleges, near Chandigarh was a grand success with a packed audience of over 500 delegates, faculty members, industry experts and students listening in rapt attention to the glittering array of speakers from academics as well as industry. Dr. A K Vashisht, Chairman of University Business School, Chandigarh was the Chief Guest and Mr. Mandeep Singh, Director Engineering & Marketing, Metlonics Private Limited was Guest of Honour. Keynote speaker was Dr. Karamjit Singh, Professor of University Business School, Chandigarh. Some of the other prominent speakers were Dr. Sanjay Kaushik, Dr. Taranjit Rao, Ankit from RPG Life Sciences Pvt Ltd Mumbai etc to name a few. The Conference commenced at 10 am sharp with the traditional lighting of the lamp and welcome address by Dr. Promila Kaushal, Principal Indo Global College of Engineering. R. Panickar Director General of Indo Global Colleges spoke on the marketing trends from the PC era to the currently dominant Social Media Marketing and Digital Marketing elaborating how smart marketers are using Facebbok, Twitter and Linkedin to reach out to their target audience effectively. He spoke on how events have become an important marketing tool and how the marketers have taken events to the next higher level by doing ‘Virtual Events’ wherein utilising live streaming they are able to reach out to thousands of their select audience across the globe. Dr Vashisht Chairman of UBS spoke on integrated marketing strategies and how such strategies can bring the business closer to the point of purchase which is the biggest challenge for every marketer. The topic of the Conference being: The New Management Playbook – Re-imagine, Re-define and Re-invent; Dr. Vashisht elaborated on the importance of outsmarting the competitor by micro analysis of strategic plans vis a vis feild situation prevailing with a sound vision on situation likely to prevail in the years to come. His session was highly interactive. He involved the audience in various marketing games and emphasized on the young audience to keep their eyes, ears and mind open for every opportunity that the market throws up. The afternoon session was chaired by Dr. Sanjay Kaushik from UBS. Vote of Thanks was given by Dr. Satinder Pal Ahuja, Dean of Indo Global Colleges.
