INGHAM FC SIX-A-SIDE GRAND FINALS A highly entertaining series will culminate on Friday when the grand finals of the local six-a-side competition will be held at the soccer complex on Fairford Road. Ingham Football would like to thank the many players who have participated & supported the club in the 2014 competition and extends an invitation to supporters & guests to come along and enjoy what should be a great night of football this Friday where full canteen and bar facilities will also be available throughout the evening. To accommodate the possibility of extra time, all Grand Final games will be played at 6:30pm with presentations to be made to the winning teams after the completion of all 6:30pm games. GRAND FINAL DRAW for Friday 12th December: 6:30pm: F1 Hillbillies -v- KMA; F2 Curacoa -v- Chook Pen; F3 Feral Cats -v- Palm Creek Possums; F4 Slick -v- Shiver Me Timbers; F5 Guido’s Girls -v- Wii Not Fit; F6 Redbacks -v- MIA; F7 Two Left Feet -v- Green Jellies. The above teams are asked to guarantee that all players taking to the field are registered to that team, with all registration & game fees paid. Teams are also advised that shin pads must be worn during the game and for safety reasons & all jewellery must be removed or taped prior to play commencing. In last Friday’s semi finals very little separated the sides and the scores were a testament to just how close the series has been this year. An epic battle unfolded in the men’s C division between teams Chook Pen & SKW with extra time needed to decide the winner. All other games were equally as intense with the following results recorded. Ladies – B grade: Wii Not Fit (1) def Cuttin Loose (0); C Grade: MIA (3) def CBC (0); D Grade: Green Jellies (1) def Kicking Grass (0). Men – A Grade: Palm Creek Possums (1) def Class on Grass (0); B Grade: Shiver Me Timbers (3) def Misfits (2); C Grade: Chook Pen (2) def SKW (1) in extra time. In other club news, this Saturday 13th December a working bee has been scheduled and with help needed, the Club extends an invitation to anyone keen to lend a hand to come along from 8:30am onwards, with complimentary lunch & refreshments provided.
