INNALILLAH WAINALLAYHI RAJIUUN,,,,,,It is with great sadness we anounce the death of Islamic schoolar Sheikh Mohammed Shariff Famau that occured at his residence in Malindi town. The iconic Islamic schoolar was born and brought up in Kizingitini Lamu County, he was a student of Sheikh Harith Swalehy, he attended Madrasatul Badawy Kizingitini before proceeding to Islamic University in Madina, Islamic Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Sheikh Mohammed Shariff graduated in FIKH ( Islamic Jurispondances)where he was rated among the top students who received the kings honour, MUNTAZ, Sheikh Mohammed Shariff was an added impetus in establishing the Hanafiya Islamic Center at his home village. Though physical gone,the echo of his voice will for ever remain in our ears. He tireless travelled across East Africa to deliver many sermons. Many of his recorded sermons and speeches are found at Mbvwana radio services Mombasa. The number of students he nurtured and brought up are many and difficulty to outline their names here per se. The affable Sheikh was laid to rest at Malindi Muslim cemetry. May Allah admit his soul in the upper class janna among the favoured ones AMIN. Major Seif Ali Omar Sheyumbe
