INSERT 3 I quickly ran upstairs to her room. I was amazed by what I saw, things were scattered everywhere. I think she did it on purpose. First reason being fixing me and others that I dont know. Anyway I packed everything back to their respective places and made the bed. There were used tissues thrown on the carpet but she has a dustbin in her room. I picked the tissues and threw them in the bin and swept the room. Mike entered while I was sweeping holding a bucket with water water and scrubbing brush. Him: mom said you must scrub the carpet. Me: ok He took the litter in the bin and scattered it on the side I already cleaned. Him:you call this sweeping, huh? Me:mxm can you excuse me because I dont have time for you. He left the room, tears were just streaming down my cheeks. I even asked myself why these people hated me like this but I could not find the answers. Only God knows. I finished sweeping and scrubbing the carpet and the room was spotless clean. I dusted places which were dusty and I went to my room. I threw myself on the bed and dozed off since I was tired, due to working up early and i was also hungry. I was woken by Mercy around past 3. Mercy:Patie Patie wake up! Me:uuh uuh Mercy:(shaking me) wake up and eat angel. Me:I woke up and walked slowly to the bathroom to wash my face and came back to the bedroom Mercy: I brought you food. Yojt must be hungry you never ate since morning Me:(smiling) thank you Mercy:(kissing my cheek ) promise me that you wont tell tell anyone that I gave you food because I stole this food Me:(hugging her) dont worry I wont. You are a life saver thank you once again Mercy: anything for my sweet angel. I love you Patie Me: I love you too cousin Mercy: now eat your food I ate my food while chatting with my sweet cousin. I was happy because I know that atleast I have someone who cares about me. I thank God for giving me a caring soul like her. I finished eating and Mercy put the plate and glass in her room then saya downstairs.. Uncle came back and supper was served. After supper I cleaned the dishes with Mercy and watched some t.v programmes and I went to sleep. Three weeks passed, and it was the same routine for me which is no food during the day since aunty said it is better to give the dogs food or throw it in the bin than feed an useless idiot like me. Those words pierced my heart but there was nothing I could do. Mercy was her sweet self and she never stopped stealing food for me and comforting me. Eve and Mike were like their evil and wicked mom. As for uncle I dont understand him anymore because he was like weather. I think you know what I mean. Three days before christmas the happy family went to town for shopping. And its obvious Patie the one regarded as an outcast was left at home with a lot of chores, like it was not enough I was told to cut the grass outside since it was now long because of rain. I was living the life of a slave but there was nothing I could do since I am fatherless maybe I deserved it. They came back from town and started trying their new clothes and there was nothing for me. Guys I was hurt, maybe hurt was an understatement of what I was feeling that time. Supper was served but I never ate, I lost my appetite. I never bothered myself to wash the dishes. I went to my room early. I prayed and asked God what I had done to deserve this. I try my best but these people cant appreciate me. Really is it a crime to be fatherless? I have a lot of questions bt could not find the answers. I cried myself to sleep that night, I even wished death could take me.
