INTER PRE-SCHOOL DANCE COMPETITION Tapti Valley International School organized an INTER PRE-SCHOOL DANCE COMPETITION on Friday, 5th December 2014, giving a platform to all Preschoolers of Surat. The Theme for the Competition was Indian Folk Dance Form. This was the 1st attempt for an Inter Pre-School level competition which attracted entries across the city. The Program began with lighting of the lamp by The Principal, Judges and Trustees. TVIS tiny tots performed The Ganesh Vandana including folk dances before the competition commenced. The participant list included; Essar International School- Rajasthani Folk Dance, Global Indian International School- Kabeliya Dance, Fountain Head School-Katputli Dance, S.V.Godhani Kindergarten- Bhangra, Tapti Kids- Folk Mix of Garba and Bhangra, TNJ International School- Ayi giri nandini and The Host School (TVIS)- Gondhal Dance. The pleasant weather got lovelier for the audience who witnessed an evening full of traditional Indian essence. TVIS tiny tots also mesmerized the audience by singing a lovely Gujarati Garba. All the performances were incredible and it was wonderful to see children at this tender age perform with such perfection and elegance. The Judges for the evening Mrs. Kavita Parmar and Mrs. Binita Shroff had a difficult time in judging all the super performances. Each performance was as good as the one before it. Indeed all the participants reached the winning post but then a competition is incomplete without announcing a winner. It was TAPTI VALLEY INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL who won the 1st position. But Tapti Valley being the host school, they graciously handed over the trophy to the runner-ups FOUNTAIN HEAD SCHOOL and GLOBAL INDIAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL. An instant framed group photograph was presented to each participant to carry along with them as a token of appreciation and fond memory.
