We extend our cordial invitation to researchers, teachers and students to share scientific presentations that promote academic debate. We aim to converge professionals from different disciplines in order to argue about topics of anthropological interest. We look forward to know about your participation in the event. Dr. Antonio J. Martínez Fuentes Chairman, Organizing Committee ANTHROPOS 2015 is organized by the Luis Montané Anthropological Museum and Luis Montané Department of Anthropology, Faculty of Biology, University of Havana, the Cuban Society of Biological Anthropology , the Eopithecus Society of Primate Ecology of Mexico , the LatinAmerican Association of Biological Anthropology, the Cuban Institute of Anthropology, and the Fernando Ortiz Foundation. Profile of participants: contributions of anthropologists and archaeologists from all fields. primatologists, sociologists, psychologists, biologists, physicians of different specialties, historians, demographers, philosophers, social workers, educators, geographers, ecologists, museum curators, curators and managers, heritage architects, linguists, political scientists, lawyers, economists, filmmakers, journalists, designers, students and scholars from other disciplines whose contributions enrich the debate on anthropology . Sessions include: Keynotes by invitation : 30 minutes Round tables: 90 minutes Workshops: 90 minutes Free Presentations : 15 minutes Posters: must be prepared in a format not exceeding 120 cm high by 90 cm wide. Videos : 20 minutes of exposure. Format : VHS NTSC 3.58 system, compatible with CD players and DVD formats, video file formats AVI, MPEG, WMV, VCD, DVD. Submission of abstracts: one submission is allowed as first author. The abstracts will have the following format: title (in capital letters, centered and with no more than 20 words , author (s ), underline the presenters name, institution (s ), email, country and thematic proposing the inclusion labor, mode of presentation, and audiovisual equipment. Each abstract should be no greater than 250 words in Arial 12 font, single spaced, prepared with a word processor Word version 6.0 or higher and must include: introduction, objectives, methods, results and conclusions. The abstract should not contain quotes or references. Submissions must come from first authors who have paid the appropriate registration fee. Abstracts should be sent by email to: museo.montane @ fbio.uh.cu Deadline for receipt: June 10, 2014. Publication of reports: The papers presented at the event will be published on a CD that will be delivered free of charge to registered delegates . Papers are limited to a maximum length of 15 pages (letter size 216 x 279 mm) , in Arial 12 , with double spacing between lines, with bibliography, charts and tables included as file text processor Word 6.0 or higher. The file to send must not exceed the capacity of 1.50 MB . Full papers should be sent by email to: [email protected] Deadline for receipt: October 10, 2014 The official language is Spanish. English and Portuguese contributions nevertheless will be accepted. There will be no simultaneous translation. Payment of tuition Payment of the conference registration fee will be made directly at the Palace of Conventions in Havana at the time of registration. Delegates: $ 200.00 CUC * Students: $ 120.00 CUC Companions : $ 80.00 CUC * Only undergraduate students duly accredited through official certification study center . The prices for registration fees include: Delegates and students: badge, participation in scientific and social activities, documentation, certificates of attendance and author. Participation in the opening and closing events, social activities and souvenir Registration fees and other payments to be made in Cuba, will be in Cuban Convertible Pesos (CUC) , the official currency in the country. CUCs can be obtained on arrival in Cuba at the airport or in hotels, bank branches, exchanges or at the convention center, at the prevailing exchange rate on that day. The exchangeable currencies are: Euros, U.S. dollars, Canadian dollars, Mexican pesos, pounds sterling and Swiss francs.
