INTERNATIONAL CRICKET STADIUM FOR AGARTALA The Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) has extended support for construction of an international cricket stadium in Agartala. Work on the state-of-the-art stadium was expected to begin this year. The TCA (Tripura Cricket Association) has already floated bids for expression of interest from reputed construction agencies, seeking their response before July 26. The stadium would be able to accommodate 25,000 spectators, TCA officials said.
