INTERNATIONAL PRAYER FOCUS FOR THIS WEEK Syrian Refugee Assistance TSA International Emergency Services team in Jordan are working with the Lutheran World Federation to assist refugees fleeing the ongoing conflict in Syria. We are supplying gas stoves and cylinders, fleece training suits, hygiene family kits. A second distribution programme will provide for families to cope with harsh winter temperatures. Because of the large numbers of Syrian refugees, many families in Jordan are struggling as prices of necessities rise above their their means to pay. • Pray for the 2 million Syrian refugees, and for all who are assisting them, including our own team. • Pray for families in Jordan who now struggle as an indirect result of the Syrian conflict. Australian Bush Fires TSA emergency services crews are working in fire-affected areas of New South Wales, Australia, manning evacuation centres, serving meals to emergency services personnel and residents forced out of their homes by bushfires. Hundreds of homes have been destroyed, and thousands forced to evacuate. As well as meals, our people are giving blankets and essential aid to affected individuals and communities. o Pray for strength, courage and wisdom for the thousands of firefighters battling the huge fires. o Pray for families affected and for relief workers o Pray for SA relief teams the physical and emotional strength to carry on bringing practical assistance and comfort to all affected.
