INTERNATIONAL REDS ROUND-UP: ● Marouane Fellaini scored for Belgium in a 2-2 draw against Ivory Coast. ● Antonio Valencias Ecuador were 3-0 down at half time but in the second they managed to pull a superb comeback as they beat Australia 3-4! ● Darren Fletcher made his Scotland comeback as a second-half substitute as Scotland won 1-0 in Poland. ● Patrice Evra and Robin van Persie came face-to-face in Paris with France overcoming Holland 2-0. Van Persie, who had been ill beforehand, surprisingly played the full 90 minutes but was unable to get on the scoresheet. ● England defeated Denmark 1-0 at Wembley with Chris Smalling starting in his preferred position of centre-back and impressing. Wayne Rooney had a number of efforts, including a couple of free-kicks, before being replaced by Danny Welbeck and the substitute forced one of a string of saves by Kasper Schmeichel. ● Earlier in the day, Shinji Kagawa created the opener and converted a penalty as Japan roared into a four-goal lead against New Zealand before winning 4-2. ● Javier Hernandez featured in Mexicos 0-0 draw with Nigeria but came off at half-time with a knee injury.
