INTO THE DEEPER ASPECTS OF MALCOLM X: Once upon a time a White - TopicsExpress

INTO THE DEEPER ASPECTS OF MALCOLM X: Once upon a time a White woman who called herself a non-racist asked the legendary Malcolm X what she could do to help Black people. Malcolm smiled and said NOTHING. The reasoning behind Malcolm Xs answer has lead narrow-visioned Civil and Human Rights Activists, and Black Power proponents, to interpret his remark as being anti-White, when Malcolm himself used White mainstream media to speak to the masses, including White America. What Malcolm meant in his broader example is: Whites can not be relied upon to help out in the struggle of Black people, and Black people must rely upon themselves. This does not exclude whatever White people might do to combat racism amongst their majority rule, but at no time should Black people depend upon any such benevolence. To depend upon other than self is to court spies, deception and cross-outs as history has PROVEN in America time and time again. Malcolm spoke in terms that were consistent with the Art of War. Such as If I am attacked, it is I who must stand up and defend myself, not the next person. If that next person should jump in and fight with me on my side, the act is appreciated, and duly noted, but never was it depended upon by me. Even allies arent family; they are associates proving their friendship or honor nothing more and nothing less. Bottom line: Allies and friends, and even family, must prove themself daily in any cause, and at each sunrise they must do it again to prove their honor. We must welcome allies, but at no time depend on them. That is the sophisticated intricasies of War, Honor and Friendships and matters that are for the wise and not emotional.
