INTRODUCING Madeleine Chaise who will be offering Manual Therapy Massage and will be with us this Sat 20th Dec Crystal Visions Holistic Market @ Silverdale St Johns Ambulance Hall, 36 Silverdale Rd 10am till 3pm. Madeleine Chaise is a healer who became interested health and energy work from a young age, starting to learn tai chi and reiki at age 10 and 12 respectively. In 2012, she started the five year course at Unitec to become an osteopath. This includes three years of studying the Bachelor of Applied Science, which she has just completed, and the Masters of Osteopathy, which she will start in March 2015, in which she will treat patients in the student clinic and undertake a thesis investigating how osteopaths treat migraines. Madeleines healing technique is not osteopathy, but combines what she has learnt from many different approaches including reiki, relaxation, manual therapy and breathing. Her main approach is very gentle and affects the tension of various tissues in the body. It aims to release painful restrictions and helps the various body tissues to move more easily and therefore function more efficiently. Because she aim at healing the body as a whole, she describes her approach as functional tensegrity healing. In her spare time, Madeleine loves water colour painting and drawing.
