He also attended the Advanced Management Program at INSEAD, France. He is a Chartered Accountant by profession and trained with Price Waterhouse Coopers. He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Management. Udom Emmanuel is from a reputable and God fearing family cherished by everyone in his community. His father, (Retired) Mr. G. E. Nkanang was an educator, a Head Master and a great teacher. Both Father and Mother (Late Mrs. G. E Nkanang) were community leaders who committed themselves to educating, training and developing children and youths, in their communities to become better future leaders. Mr. Udom Emmanuel and his family are strong members of Qua Iboe Church, Nigeria. As devoted Christians, and as a Deacon, they are altogether very active in their faith. This commitment has helped Udom and his family stayed strong and united while weathering through the storms of life. As a young boy growing up, Mr. Emmanuel was very respectful, sincere, intelligent and a person of great integrity. This devoted husband and father always executed tremendous discipline and focus, which has contributed to his unmatched carrier path and achievements. Honorable Udom Emmanuel was “Executive Director on the Board of Zenith Bank Plc from December 2006 to the date of his appointment as the Secretary to the State Government of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. The SSG also served as Audit Manager of Price Waterhouse Coopers. He served as an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria. He served as Chief Financial Officer of Zenith Bank Plc. With such corporate and carrier performance, with such Persuasive Pedigree and Unmatched Experience, Akwa Ibom State is blessed by Mr. Emmanuel’s presence in the gubernatorial race. I highly commend Governor Godswill Akpabio for the noble task of endorsing Mr. Udom Emmanuel for 2015 governorship race. I am convinced that God ordered and directed the Governor to recall Mr. Udom Emmanuel from Zenith Bank, Plc. to serve Akwa Ibom State at a time of desperate need of a leader to ensure sustainable development and transformation. Exposure in Entertainment Industry has taught me that every parent thinks his child is more handsome or beautiful and better qualified to model or act than others. The fact is that whether your child is taller or shorter, more handsome or beautiful than someone else’s is not a guarantee that he will become a better actor or model. Acting or modeling requires pure and raw talent, and the ability to learn new skills to advance or improve on those talents. Being the governor of a state is beyond just having talent. It is beyond beauty and personal accolades. It is beyond recognition and award by familiarity based on collegial association. Rather, it is based on exemplary profile, outstanding credential, performance pedigree, discipline, social attributes, social etiquette, past/present achievements and experiences, integrity, professionalism, modernization, flexibility and tolerance to embrace constructive criticism. Udom Emmanuel, a Performer, an Achiever, a renowned and Credentialed Financial Controller and Manager, an Agent, an Apostle of Transformation and Sustainable Development, an internationally recognized Accountant and Investor, a seasoned Technocrat, one of the most Sought-After in his profession worldwide, is one whose feet I may say, have best fitted the only shoe size of the Akwa Ibom State governorship office, a true mirror of the Movie Cinderella. An architect’s job is to lay down the construction blue print for the building engineer to follow and duplicate his vision. Udom Emmanuel has not only been a careful architect whose life and achievements have laid down the blue print or the foundation of what is to come for the people of Akwa Ibom State in the near future, but one that without a doubt, will drum Akwa Ibom State’s industrialization and massive development scheme on the center stage of global industrialization. Udom is ready to build Akwa Ibom beyond the blue print of current infrastructural developments laid down by the visionary and transformer, Governor Godswill Akpabio, to massive urban creation and developments throughout the state. Udom cannot wait to enhance youth empowerment in AKS through massive Educational Training and Investment opportunities geared towards massive Job Creation, and Employments of jobless Akwa Ibom indigenes, including those in the Diasporas. AKS is ready to embrace massive Industrialization, Human Resource Development and Creation of Middle Class Economy, Healthcare Transformation through Implementation of Innovative Healthcare Delivery Systems, Building of Modern Hospitals and Modernization of Existing Infrastructures, Construction of New Urban and Rural Roads and Settlements, and the Expansion of Existing Roads and settlements, Improvement of Water treatments Plants, Environmental Control and Management, and Face-lifting of dilapidated state government structures throughout the State. This is what Udom Emmanuel stands for; a man passionately waiting to take Akwa Ibom State through the 21 st Century having been challenged by his predecessor’s uncommon transformation scheme. An advocate of peace is a custodian of wisdom. With wisdom, he is able to watch and counsel where others could not see and counsel. The Voice of Diaspora Akwa Ibom State represents that advocacy and wisdom. Transformation and uncommon change from the NORM, is what AKS needs, not idle talks and propaganda. Akwa Ibom State has tasted transformation. AKS wants to keep this transformation and sustain same transformation, and Udom Emmanuel is the only qualified Candidate capable of delivering that new Transformation. AKS is ready to move on to the future, and Udom Emmanuel is seated in the right seat, in the right bus, and at the right time. We the people of AKS are ready to let him drive us. Governor Godswill Akpabio has built the road AKS must travel. Udom Emmanuel must step on the gas without hesitation and take Akwa Ibom State home to prosperity. Udom Emmanuel must step on the gas and take AKS home to victory. As always, Udom Emmanuel must damn distractions and take AKS to economic transformation and industrial development. Udom Emmanuel must ignore gossips and slanders and drive AKS to middle class development, empowerment and economic sustenance. Udom Emmanuel must take AKS to massive investment in the Banking, Technology, Oil and Gas Sectors. Udom Emmanuel must be ready to create Expandable Scholarship Portfolio to train and develop Akwa Ibom Youths coming out of Secondary Institutions to Tertiary Institutions of learning whose parents cannot afford to pay their tuitions. It is easy to criticize, but it is not easy to perform. A performer has no time to sit around criticizing because he is too busy performing. Udom is a performer and in line to become that next performer for AKS without distraction. It has been rumored that Governor Akpabio imposed Udom Emmanuel on Akwa Ibom people. This statement would have been true if the rumor has it that the Almighty God imposed Udom Emmanuel on Akwa Ibom People. It is however; untrue or a false statement that Governor Akpabio imposed Udom Emmanuel on AKS. On the contrast, Governor Akpabio would be imposing any other candidate on AKS if he had refused to listen to the Supreme Voice to offer the Reluctant Candidate, Udom Emmanuel, an opportunity to contest for the governorship seat of Akwa Ibom State. It is important to note that Udom Emmanuel would have probably become the present Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria after Governor Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, few months after Governor Akpabio approached him to return to AKS and serve his people. Udom Emmanuel was not and is not a desperate Candidate but a Sought-After Candidate based purely on his Credentials, Integrity, Performance, Exposure and more importantly, Divine Mandate. This has positioned Udom Emmanuel in the governorship race as the chosen, the ordained and the anointed one by Divine Order, to drive AKS to success and victory. Governor Akpabio could not have been able to impose any one person on Akwa Ibom State because he loves AKS that much. By his endorsement of Udom Emmanuel, Governor Akpabio has removed any garment of shame from AKS and put upon her the bridal garment waiting to be remarried by yet another uncommon transformer with uncommon performance record. Udom Emmanuel is the one that has the capacity and capability to control wastage of Akwa Ibom wealth as opposed to greedy and corrupt politicians. Udom Emmanuel is the only person amongst others who will ensure sustainable development and rechanneling of Akwa Ibom Wealth back to Akwa Ibom People for sustainable prosperity and growth. The one who cries the most is not always likely the one who feels the most pain, but the one driven by passion and sweat. Governor Akpabio, through his passion and sweat, has transformed AKS. The process has been painful, the road has not been easy, but such are the marks of a great leader. With Udom Emmanuel as the next governor of AKS, we shall see Governor Akpabio’s pains and that of Akwa Ibom People minimized or cured through sustainable development, continuous transformation, increased security, peace and stability. Having known and grown up with Udom Emmanuel, I can emphatically say that he will make Akwa Ibom People proud. He will execute the Governorship role in AKS more effectively to the satisfaction of his people. His open and outstanding record can proof this claim. Udom has a great personality. He is sympathetic, empathetic, steady, kind, assertive, integrous, proficient, efficient, competent, aggressive, experienced, intelligent, mature, humble, attentive, generous, God fearing, broken, educated, honest, trust worthy, sincere, loyal, not greedy, and modernized. These are attributes of a great leader. And these attributes are what the Voice of Diaspora AKS has come to know as Udom Gabriel Emmanuel. And this is why The Voice of Diaspora AKS has chosen to support Udom Emmanuel, and to back him up for the seat of Akwa Ibom State Governor after Governor Godswill Obot Akpabio.
