INVITATION FOR PUBLIC COMMENTS ON DRAFT BOTSWANA STANDARDS PUBLIC COMMENT #17 Botswana Bureau of Standards intends to adopt the following drafts as Botswana Standards: 1. PDS 267:2014 (Revision of BOS 267:2007) Fibre-cement boards — Specification This draft standard specifies the requirements for flat unpressed and flat pressed boards manufactured from non-asbestos fibre-cement. The boards may have either a smooth or a textured surface. 2. PDS 169:2014 (Revision of BOS 169:2006) Chloroprene rubber sheet for waterproofing — Specification This draft Standard specifies chloroprene rubber sheet supplied in rolls and used for all waterproofing applications (other than the collection, conveyance and storage of potable water) where resistance to weather and water is essential. 3. PDS 277-2:2014 Materials for thermal insulation of buildings – Part 2: Loose fill insulation material — Specification This draft Standard specifies requirements for loose fill thermal insulation material in pelleted or granulated form and intended for use as thermal insulation in buildings. • Botswana Bureau of Standards intends to adopt the following International Standard as Botswana Standard: 4. ISO 13746:2000 Textile floor coverings – Guidelines for installation and use on stairs This International Standard provides recommendations for the installation and use of textile floor coverings on stairs for both residential/domestic and contract/commercial purposes. It covers all products composed of textile material with a pile or non-pile use surface including the use of such products in tile form.
