INVITATION TO JOIN US ON JUBILEE DAY Medinah Temple #39, Ancient Egyptian Arabic Order Nobles of the Mystic Shrine of North and South America and Its Jurisdiction, Inc. extend an invitation to you and your associates to come out and celebrate our “Jubilee Day” with us on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at The Ancient Egyptian Arabic Order Nobles of the Mystic Shrine, herein after known as the A.E.A.O.N.M.S. is one of the oldest Black Fraternal Organization organized in June 1893 in the City of Chicago, Illinois. In August, 1914 there were those in the land who because of the difference of race, questioned the rights of Black Americans to be known as “Shriners” and sought to deprive us of the privilege of practicing our ancient mysteries, and to accomplish this purpose brought suit against the A.E.A.O.N.M.S. in the Courts of Texas, and the Courts of Texas issued orders which, if allowed to stand, would have destroyed us. From the four corners of the nation, the Nobility girded themselves for battle and the A.E.A.O.N.M.S. entered the fray. God raised up great men amongst us and under the leadership of Noble Caesar R. Blake, Imperial Potentate went up and down the land urging the Nobility to battle and finally laid our cause in the hands of the United States Supreme Court, confident that Justice would triumph. And justice did prevail, for on the 3rd day of June 1929, after 15 long years of litigation, the Supreme Court of our land, affirmed and confirmed our right to work and act as “Shriners”. Now, each year on the closest day to June 3rd, Temples all across the world celebrate our “Jubilee Day” with a public ceremony in a Church to proclaim our “Jubilee”. The Nobles of Medinah Temple #39 extend an invitation for you to join with us in this celebration on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at the 1st Baptist Church, located at 3100 Bell Ave at Cardinal at their 10:30 am service.
