IQ is the "intelligence test score that is obtained by dividing - TopicsExpress

IQ is the "intelligence test score that is obtained by dividing mental age, which reflects the age-graded level of performance as derived from population norms, by chronological age and multiplying by 100." Intelligence is the "aptitude in grasping truth claims, facts, meanings, etc." Reason is the "premise of an argument supporting a belief." Rational is something that is "agreeable to reason; reasonable; sensible." Rationality is the "state or quality of being rational or logical." Reasonable is something that does "not exceed the limit prescribed by reason." I provided these definitions to make a point: one can be very intelligent but very irrational. Intelligence is based on understanding truth CLAIMS, but there are truth CLAIMS in our world today that are irrational. There are truth CLAIMS that in fact do exceed the limit prescribed by reason thus making those unreasonable, insensible, illogical, and irrational truth CLAIMS. TRUTH is based on rationality not intelligence.
