IRONY OF LIFE: Some weeks ago,my sisters went to a village and met a poor family. Last week,my mum agreed to let one of the kids spend the christmas in our house. When Emma came home with him,flies briefly enjoyed the warmth of my mouth for a while because I was openmouthed in shock. His hair is as curly and fine as that of a white boy or even an Arabian boy. His mouth on a grown girl would cause accidents on the road. God himself carefully put together his teeth giving him a dentition that my mom has not seen since the advent of sweets. But then,this cute adonis was born into a family that cannot afford three square meals even in the village. The first few days when he came,he ate everything we offered even when it was obvious he was filled up. My mother looked at him eating the other day and said,That is the irony of life. Somewhere is a rich woman crying because she has seen her period again and this ones mother can not feed her four beautiful children. Somewhere out there is someone who deserves the things you do not count-family,friends,health,wealth,jobs,name them. Yet, the universe did not count your unworthiness and gave them to you. As the end of the year draws near,as we count the things that might and should have been,let us remember to count the things that were. Enjoy your weekend folks!
