IS A RELATIONSHIP A BOND OR A BONDAGE? For some people it is Love at first sight, for some it is once you get acquainted with that person and for some its by getting to know someone with a view of exploring the possibility of a Relationship. All these are just different ways through which one meets a person he would like to live with. Whether most of these Relations last long or not is matter of debate. However, a Relation does come into existence. My contention here is about the validity of a Relationship in the light of Love. I might ask what is a Relationship in the first place. Is it a commitment? Is it an agreement to stay with someone? Is it a Tag for the society and friends? Is it a status symbol? What is it exactly? I see two aspects to my answer which may or may not be right. A Relationship based on Love and a Relationship based on the mere need of it. More explanation might not be necessary but I would still elaborate. A Relationship based on Love would mean a Relation coming into existence when 2 people who Love each other decide to strengthen their Bond through the means of a Relationship. In this case they spend time with each other, care for each other, listen to each other, enjoy, live and grow old with each other. This could sound a bit Utopian or Exaggerated. It is alright if it conveys the message. A Relationship based on the mere need of it, is a Relationship for the name sake. Whether Love is involved or not is a quite different story. I dont quite want to underestimate this sort of a Relation completely because there might be cases where even such Relationships turned out to be full of Love at a later stage and vice versa. However, in general, since the Love factor is missing in such type of a Relationship, it soon moves towards the direction of a Bondage. This happens when the People involved could not completely develop the feeling of Love and end up having a sort of Title of BF and GF respectively. Which somehow starts irritating them after a certain period of time. It could only spell disaster i.e. Breakup. What one wants to make out of his or her life is their own decision to make. I would say, that Life without Love is like a Day without Light. So do Love, no matter whether you are successful or not, no matter whether the both of you have a future or not, no matter whether it might last long or not. You might at least have those moments which you spent together happily. These moments might fill your Life with Love and Happiness forever.
