IS GREETING “NAMASKAR” IS ALLOWED IN ISLAM? : DETAIL DISCUSSION MUST READ. Ans: The word Namaskar come from Sanskrit word “Id dam Namamay “ Which means “I well Come you by bowing down my head” Which is harram and shrik in Islam, the biggest crime in Islam. We bow down our head before Allah only, the creator and no one else. Even according to The Hindus scripture saying Namasakar” also prohibited since the Vedas and other Hindus scripture .etc. They too speak about the only one true God, only He deserves worship and no one else. In Islam Greeting “Namaskar” is harram and Muslims should not greet. WE DON’T BOW DOWN TO THE HUMAN BEING BUT THE GOD. GOD IN A EVERY HUMAN BEING: In argument Some Hindus says that “We bow down to the Every human being because God in every human being ‘ If they believe that God in every Human being means every human being is God in that case . For example: Someone come and tell that “Let’s go and do Rob “or “Let’s Rape a women” So we should say that “God telling us !to Rob And Rape let’s do it” ! Because we have to obey God’s commandments. According to the Hindus Scripture the Vedas this concept is absolutely false contradict with the Concept of God in Hinduism. QUR’AN SAYS GOD IN EVERY HUMAN BEING , SO WHAT WRONG SAYING NAMASTEY OR NAMASKAR? Allah says in the Qur’an The Qur’an clearly mentions that ‘Allah (SWT) has breathed somewhat of His spirit into the human beings’. “When I have fashioned you in due Proportion and have breathed into you Something of my spirit, fall ye down in obeisance” [Al-Qur’an Ch.15, Verse No.29,] A similar thing is repeated in the Qur’an, “We have fashioned you in due proportion and have breathed into you something of My spirit” [Al-Qur’an Ch. 32, Verse No.9] Here, when Allah (SWT) refers to ‘As something of My Spirit, is breathed into the human beings’ - it does not mean, a sort of incarnation or a pantheistic form. It means that Allah(god) has given to every human being something of His spiritual Nature, and the Knowledge of God Almighty, and coming closer towards Him. Evey human being has the knowledge of God in Him/her. We should not bow down to anyone but Allah. question should we say Assalam O Alaikum to non muslim or not Praise be to Allah: There are two different of Opinion amongst the scholars regarding wishing “Salam” I will give you my opinion on the base of Qur’an and hadith. Those scholars Says that we should not says Salam to Non Muslim . why because it mention In the Hadith and its mention in Sahi Muslim Hadith 3574 . which says if any some one say intently “Aasssamaikum” which means(may death be on you) , prophet saystell then back “aikum” which means “ may on you too” But if you read the Qur’an Ch 19 Verse 47 “ Ibrahim(pbuh) said to this father “peace be on you”. His father was Non Muslim and if you read Qur’an Ch 20 Verse 47 “ peace be upon them who follow the guidance” while in the palace of Pharo and all of them were Non Muslim. Allah says in the Qur’an ch 28 Verse 55 “ When you amongst those who speak dirty tell them to you , your deed and to me , my deeds, and tell them Salam (peace). Further its mention in the Qur’an Ch 25 verse 63 “ when arrogant(speaking dirty) approach you tell them peace(Salam)” And Allah says in the Qur’an ch 60 Verse 5 “ verily there is a example for you in the lifeStyle of prophet Ibrahim” what the Ibrahim did ? he say Salam to this father . Why can’t we , Sahaba used to do to jews and Christine if you read the bibleIn the gospel of Luke Ch 24 Verse 38 – 42 “ Juses reply in Hebrew “Sholoomliakum”In Arabic “ Asalamuailakum” (peace be upon you All). Allah says in the Qur’an Ch 4 Verse 86 “When a (courteous) greeting is offered you, meet it with a greeting still more courteous, or (at least) of equal courtesy. Allah takes careful account of all things.” According to the Scholar if you read Tafseer of Imam a ‘Tauina”(spelling may be wrong) he said : This Qur’anic verse says not only for the Muslim but every Muslim or Non Muslim, every living creature, if some one greet you wish back more at least equal. And I do say Salam to Non Muslim , even I wish and reply and even in my lectures, starting of my lecture . I agree with this scholar and its base on Qur’an and hadith , and I wish to Salam to Non Muslim too.
