ISIS parents are well known: Qutb and al Banna, who, with others, created the Revolutionary Islamism movement after the fall of the Ottomans. Al Qaeda, Hamas, ISIS, Hizballah, Hizb ut Tahrir, the Muslim Brotherhood, the Taliban, Boko Haram and other jihadist organizations--want all Muslims and non Muslims to be ruled through Sharia law as the Islamist states of Saudi Arabia, Iran, Sudan, the Seychelles, Aceh Province of Indonesia and Brunei do now. ISIS is merely the latest of many manifestations of Revolutionary Islamism, starting with the Islamist Revolution in Iran in 1979.
