ISIS’s Crimes Unraveled in Rural Aleppo: Press Statement Khalid Saleh Syrian Coalition Media Office President Istanbul, Turkey March 1, 2014 We condemn the atrocities perpetrated by the extremist group the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIS). Yesterday, a chain of mass graves were discovered in areas where ISIS used to hold sway in rural Aleppo, according to Local Coordination Committees. Ordinary people in different areas across Syria have been standing up against these groups. The Free Syrian Army (FSA) defended civilians against acts of terrorization and restriction of public freedoms carried out by such groups.
