ISLAND: BARBADOS EMPLOYER: SOL CARIBBEAN LTD INDUSTRY: CHEMICALS, OIL & GAS POSITION: RETAIL NETWORK PLANNER - EASTERN CARIBBEAN (EC) CATEGORY: MARKETING LEVEL: EXPERIENCED CAREER LEVEL QUALIFICATIONS: BACHELORS DEGREE IN ENGINEERING, MARKETING OR BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION Reports to: Retail Network and Automation Manager Subordinates: 0 Job Description: Network Planning Based on the strategy and input from the markets, develop five (5) year Retail Network Plans for the territories in EC group(Barbados, Vincent & Grenadines, Grenada & Carriacou, St Lucia, St. Kitts & Nevis, BVI, St. Maarten, Anguilla, Guyana and Suriname) Input in the Development of Retail Network Strategies for the territories in the Sol Group These plans should use Network Planning tools including o Define trade areas o Conduct site classifications o Trade area supply and demand analysis Conduct on-going analysis to define market/category potentials, consumer and competitor trends Understand the competitive landscape including volume sold at competitor sites Include knowledge regarding road, residential, commercial and relevant industrial and other infrastructure developments Maintain a database with expiry dates for own and competitor Dealer-Owned Dealer-Operated (DODO) and lease agreements Develop and Manage NTI (New to Industry) and NTS (New to Sol) Prospect Pipelines In addition to NTI and NTS the plan should also incorporate care and maintenance and asset integrity projects (HSSE) and aim to use a “one touch approach” Develop or Support the markets with their Retail Investment Cases including shop upgrades, Knock down Rebuilds (KDR) Conduct Post Investment Reviews(PIR) Include any Divestment / Purification in the Network Plan and support the markets with the execution of these cases Manage the Brand standard with audits as required as per Shell RBLA, Sol SRB and Esso BFA requirements Job Candidate Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing or Business Administration. Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal and organisational skills are definite requirements Demonstrated ability to deliver on targets Able to work virtually Able to work in country teams Proficiency in MS Office Other Information: The position will be based in Barbados. In addition to basic salary the successful applicant shall receive job grade specified allowances and be eligible to participate in the Group Pension Scheme and its Group Health and Life Insurance Scheme. Significant regional travel will be required of the position.
