We invite applications for a new Digicel Opportunity - Business Analyst POSITION SUMMARY The role of the Business Analyst is to perform qualitative and quantitative analysis to serve the information and analytical needs of the business. This position will conduct analysis to support decisions in operations, marketing, finance, strategic planning, etc. KEY FUNCTIONS a.Continuously seeks and capitalizes on opportunities to exceed the expectations of customers (internal and external) by placing a keen interest on understanding and effectively resolving customer-impacting issues in a professional and result-oriented manner. b.Utilize analytics tools to provide actionable insights/results on various activities c.Plan, coordinate and conduct the analysis of client business processes and functional requirements and the preparation of appropriate documentation to communicate and validate the information. d.Assess and cultivate long-term strategic goals for BI development in conjunction with end users, managers, clients, and other stakeholders e.Identify other initiatives that exist and ensure that efforts are not duplicated. f.Makes recommendations or improvements to Key Process Indicators and methodologies. g.Assist with the interpretation of user requirements into feasible options, and communicating these back to the business stakeholders. h.Knowledge of all company BI applications and reports to determine if requests can be satisfied with existing materials i.Liaise with BI customers and stakeholders on an ongoing basis. j.Participate in BI project post mortems in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements. k.Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements– verbally or through written documentation – to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood. l.Research and respond to internal customer questions. m.Work pro-actively on issues and resolve them in a timely manner. n.Identify and manage BI dependencies and critical path. o.Analyze user requirements and, based on findings, design functional specifications for BI front-end applications p.Develop and implement a cross-functional CRM project in the company q.Proactively adjust to changes in BI project request, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans. r.Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of all BI initiatives. s.Design and implement enterprise reporting and business intelligence solutions t.Project Management: (10%) Direct, organize and lead “greenfield” projects to implement using existing BI or new statistics software tools and systems. Provide team leadership to BI staff when engaging in activities to ensure coordination with other team members and teams. u.Maintain business relationship between Digicel and other carrier service. v.Performs related work: the duties listed above are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE •Bachelor’s degree AND related certification OR equivalent combination of education and experience. •Master in Information Technology, Finance or Management is an asset •2-5 years’ experience performing similar role / duties •Experience in and with the mobile telecommunications sector would be considered a valuable asset. •An acceptable combination of academic qualifications and work experience may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements.
