ISPAAD ASSISTANCE REGISTRATION ONGOING – DEADLINE 30-6-14 Registration for inputs (seeds, fertilizer and herbicides) and draught power subsidy under the Integrated Support Programme for Arable Agriculture Development (ISPAAD) for 2014/2015 cropping season is ongoing. Farmers who had not yet registered were urged to contact their agricultural demonstrators as no registration will be allowed beyond June 30, 2014, while those not registered, would not be assisted under ISPAAD for the coming cropping season. Only farmers who row plant will benefit from ISPAAD subsidy in terms of hybrid seed, fertiliser and herbicides and draught power in case of subsistence farmers. Farmers are further reminded that payments for draught power subsidy are to close on June 24, 2014. Therefore, farmers who had not signed and submitted their payment certificates were advised to do so before the closing date so that they could be assisted. Farmers are further urged to continuously report their 2013/14 cropping season yields to their extension agents To date, 401,500Ha have been planted by 121,565 farmers.
