ISSUE FOUR: The Bonds Issue 4 can be a little confusing but its actually pretty simple. Issue 4 is simply the authorization for the City of Benton to issue the bonds necessary to fund the economic development projects included in Issue 3. IMPORTANT: This is not an additional tax and will NOT affect your family financially. It simply authorizes the bonds and the reason it is on the ballot is because it legally has to be. Voting FOR Issue 4 will simply authorize the City of Benton to issue bonds to develop the Riverside Park projects. Voting against Issue 4 will mean even if Issue 3 passes, it will not be funded, jeopardizing the economic plan for the city. If you vote FOR Issue 3 you should also vote FOR Issue 4. They are somewhat of a package deal. Voting FOR Issue 4 is a good financial investment and combined with Issue 3, will make our city economically competitive.
