ISU Extension and Outreach is offering a series of summer garden webinars for Hamilton, Humboldt, Webster, and Wright counties. Because weather patterns over the past couple of years have moved rapidly from drought to flood, the theme of the 2013 series is "Moisture Extremes in the Landscape." The three-webinar seminars will be July, August, and September. The first one, "Landscape Plants for Moisture Extremes" and “Waterwise Landscaping,” is Tuesday, July 23. Richard Jauron, horticulture specialist with ISU Extension and Outreach and Denny Schrock, state Master Gardener coordinator, Iowa State University are the instructors. Offered by the Iowa Master Gardener program, sessions are open to all interested gardeners. Cost per session is $5 for Master Gardeners and $10 for all others. Registration is limited to 40. Sessions will be held from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. at the Webster County ISU Extension office, 217 S. 25th Street, Fort Dodge. To register locally, contact Wright Co. ISU Extension at 515-532-3453.
