IT IS A FAITH WALK .... IT IS A LOVE WALK Christlikeness is love. God is love (1 John 4:16) and that anyone who loves is born of God (1 John 4:7). 1 Corinthians 13:13, we read, “But now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” The characteristic of love is that love gives. In John 3:16, we read that “God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son.” In Ephesians 5:25,, “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her.” Love gives. The essence of God and heaven is selflessness. The essence of the devil and hell is selfishness. When we become spiritually mature, the mark of that maturity is love—love of God and love of others. The mark of that love is giving—giving oneself to God in obedience from the heart to His commands and giving of oneself to others Gods kind of Love...pure and true love -- can come only from God which will ,never fail 1 Corinthians 13:4–8:Love is patient, love is kind, and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.
