IT IS MY TIME: TO MOVE FORWARD! Philippians 2:5-8 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. It is my firm belief that people do not move forward or achieve as much as they ought to due to the inability to let go of what they have for what they need. Many people are not able to let go of immediate gratification and pleasure for a greater future. This is because they consider it a risk. But the truth is that investment is just that. People are more amenable to this investment when it comes to ordinary business but fail when it comes to life and life style. Jesus gave up all the pleasure of being God. He gave up the opulence of heaven which we are all striving for to come down to earth. He did all that for a future He needed. Philippians 2:9-11 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. That is the fundamental principle of seed time and harvest (Gen.8:22). Imagine if Jesus had decided to stay on in heaven. The thing in your hand is your seed. That fleeting pleasure is your seed. That job you have to give up is your seed. That relationship you need to come out of is your seed. That relocation away from your comfort zone is your seed. That lesson you have to teach your child is your seed. That NO you need to say to that illicit suggestion is your seed. Most time the thing that is in your hand is what God put there for you to sow as a seed not for your pleasure today. No one who holds on to where he is or holds on to what she has can move to another place or thing. We must learn to take focus away from today and see the reward of tomorrow Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. NOW IS THE TIME. IT IS MY TIME! WHAT ABOUT YOU?
