IT IS NEVER TOO LATE TO TRULY BECOME A DISCIPLE Pilgrim Church will host a four-hour School of Biblical Discipleship (SBD) in conjunction with City Team International from 1-5pm on Saturday, September 21. Says lead presenter Ed Gross, “This training is for every Christian who knows Jesus has called him or her to more (in obeying the Great Commission) --but does not quite know what the ‘more’ is.” This is expected to be the largest regional training on discipleship and the Discipleship Making Movement (DMM) paradigm ever held. At the SBD you can expect to: *Explore the 1st century world of biblical discipleship *Understand why the Church is largely worldly and ineffective *Have your worldview challenged by new perspectives on biblical truth *Learn about Disciples Making Movements globally and how DMMs can affect your church and community *Receive the tools to become a true disciple and an effective disciple maker *Obtain a blueprint for beginning sustainable and multiplying church growth *Recapture your love of God as the fuel of life and ministry Don’t come alone – invite everyone you know who is committed to seeing Christ’s kingdom expanded in their neighbor-hoods and beyond. A free will offering will be taken to defray the church’s hospitality expenses and to provide honoraria for presenters Ed Gross, Fred Hall and Gene McGee. Pilgrim Church is located at 3815 Terrace St. (corner of Terrace and Dawson Sts.) in the Wissahickon section of Philadelphia, nestled between Manayunk and lower Roxborough.
