IT PAYS TO BE A GODLY PERSON ALWAYS...Psalm 75:6 God wants all of us who profess being His children and are, to be godly in this world of darkness..meaning, He want us to be-live like Him in and under any situation of life. One of the grexatest temptations saints of God face in this wicked world, is the temptation to compromise our godliness. It is our responsibility as Christians to ensure that no matter what comes our way in life we should never compromise or give up our true identity bearing always in mind that, we are the light-salt of the earth as the lord Jesus said in Matt. 5:13-16, and shouldnt lose our light. I believe that there are many of us out there who because of the manner of life ( because of some ungodly things or behaviour we saw them exhibit ) of certain people or leaders above us we were looking upto in the faith or in our churches, became ungodly and that ought not to be. Someone elses ungodliness shouldnt ever make us become ungodly because we will suffer the consequences when we follow their steps. See the Lord Jesus instructions on how to deal with such situations that involves a leader over you and still maintain your godliness in Matthew 23:1-4. The Lord says, obey them because of their office but never be one like them and always pray in love for them. Being godly and maintaining a godly life style is one major mark that guarantees everyone of us of seeing the Lord Jesus when He comes again. So make every effort to remain godly because you are godly after you got born again and became a christian. Let no one or situation ever take it from you because it is a mark you should never lose..
