ITS BEEN SIX YEARS DAD AND YOU ARE SO MISSED I LOVE YOU SAVE A SEAT FOR US!............. John R. Listner 1927-2008 Listner Posted: Friday, March 28, 2008 11:17 am STREATOR -- John Ramon Listner died Wednesday, March 26, at his home. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Winterrowd Funeral Home, Streator. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony Church, Streator. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Worth, with full military honors conducted at the gravesite. Born Jan. 17, 1927, in Scotland, Ill., he was the son of Ernest and Grace Listner. He is survived by his wife, Pat; a son, Lonnie (Carolyn) of Petersburg, Ind.; three daughters, Susan (John) Noon of Atlanta, Ga., and Kimberly Gaydos and Patricia Berninger, both of Streator; eight grandchildren, Lonnie, George, Tesa, Michael, Amber, Nikki, Johnny and Ryan; two great-grandchildren, Dillan and Bryse; a brother, Robert (Vera) of Yuma, Ariz.; and a sister, Joanne Livingston of Fifthan, Ill. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Marine Corp at Guam and Iwo Jima.
