...ITS GETTING HOT NOW!! wonder who is funding this High Court Injunction, PM Key? - Whale Oil blogger Cameron Slater is heading to court to stop media publishing emails linked to the Dirty Politics saga. MediaWorks TV is one of three media defendants in an interim injunction application made to the High Court by Cameron Slater. Slater is seeking orders restraining MediaWorks TV, The NZ Herald, Fairfax and unknown defendants from publishing emails from his Facebook and gmail accounts. The material was allegedly taken by the hacker known as Rawshark and after being used for Nicky Hagers book Dirty Politics, it has been leaked either through the Whaledump twitter account or directly to some media. Slaters statement of claim says the material was illegally accessed and he wants the media organisations and the hacker to be prohibited from publishing more stories, and to turn the material over to him, according to media reports. The case is due before the High Court in Auckland tomorrow afternoon. A MediaWorks spokesperson confirmed the company had been served papers, was taking advice and would vigorously oppose the application in court tomorrow. The legal action comes on a day where the original Whaledump twitter account was suspended, only for the hacker to start a new account, @Whaledump2. Soon afterwards there were new leaked conversations with Jordan Williams, now spokesman of the Taxpayers Union, along with some other emails. Within three hours the account had gained nearly 1500 followers and had dumped a number of Slaters hacked emails. Other Twitter accounts also popped up also purporting to be the hacker, but @Whaledump2 insisted the other accounts were fake. The NZ Herald also ran more alleged conversations between Slater and former minister Judith Collins based on material released directly to it by Rawshark. Last week Slater made a formal complaint to police about the hacker and police have begun investigating...
