ITS ONLY CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENTS WHICH WILL CURB TRIBAL POLITICS IN KENYA! Those conscious of the genesis and the merits of cultural identity will bear me witness that it was well-intentioned to solve the common challenges faced by the tribe eg famine ,drought or a common enemy. Some african states to date recognize the tribal chiefs and funny enough their activities are bankrolled by the public coffers whereas in Kenya,a country engulfed by negative ethnicity ,the tribal chiefs are the political kingpins in their respective areas and these political deities have succeeded in convincing their tribesmen to wear tribal blinkers whenever they take part in electing any of the political leaders including the president.Who should blamed on this ? The stractures in place used to elect political leaders to me have played a role in fueling the tribal animosities that has besieged our great Kenya,ours is a fake democrasy Our democrasy entails that the citizenry elect their leaders directly and this has created an ameable environment for those ethnical supremos from the arithmetically-advantaged ethnic groups to clinch the political powers, leaving the midget tribes powerless , marginalized and hostile . With these ambiguities still in our supreme law of the land,I think its unfair for us to drag our elected leaders who are assumed to have benefited from the tribal groupings to unnecessary opprobrium,no section of the law criminalizes their ascension to office unless they are changed. Kenyans are good in criticizing issues without constitutional backing. Political loosers are quick to blame and condemn tribalism immediately they are announced loosers ,I would have expected those leaders without mammoth tribal constituencies to swiftly start agitating for constitutional amendments to the election procedures of this country.The former PM,perceived by the elite class to be a victim of ethnical numbers proposed a parliamentary system in apprehending ethnical politicking,I think that was a pulsing reason that should be brought to live. The current election procedure has divided the country into two tribal groups;the two larger tribes each has attracted sympathetic small tribes in their sides,the lakeside tribe for example under the command of the father to the 2nd and 3 rd liberation movements in Kenya has succeeded in wooing coastal,western,Eastern and few elites to his political wing and on the opposite side the Great mountain dialects cohabiting with the Great Rift dialects have mesmirized the attention of the remaining tribes! How safe are we as Kenyans here,the YES crusaders should have seen this before campaigning our new constitution. From my above categorization I think kenyans should swallow their words ,wake up from the deep slumber,put off the tribal blinkers and accept the fact that tyranny of numbers is real and constitutional attempts of assassinating the ogre should be initiated rather than burying our heads in the sand! In my earlier opinion when I tried to unravel the reason why Governor Isaac Rutto was an obvious target of the URP firing squad I saw the devolution proponents who mistook me for an advocate of anti-devolution fiercely direct their loaded cannons to the innocent me ,when I loudly expressed my thought about politics of ethnic entreprenuership still being a gate pass to the house at the top of the hill, I was called a myopic Kenyan. (WHY TJRC IS BETTER PLACED TO ADDRESS THE ETHNIC ANIMOSITIES THAN THE KIBUNJA COMMISSION)
