For a $5 fee during February 2014, Citrus County residents who need financial assistance may purchase a “IT’S HIP TO SNIP” package that includes: •A spay or neuter for your dog or cat, a rabies vaccine, a county license and a microchip. •The owner participating in the promotion will automatically be entered to win one of many prizes such as gift cards for restaurants, groceries, gas and more. •Call (after January 28, 2014) -352-503-3237 or 352-621-1249 for details. •The package will be available during February as long as funding is available. SnippetCitrus will supplement the additional funding needed to provide the spay/neuter service, Citrus County Animal Services will provide the rabies vaccine, microchip and county license and the Humanitarians of Florida will perform all the services.
