IT’S OK TO JUST GET A VACUUM, OFF THE SHELF, RIGHT Well…..here’s some of the questions we ask when you come in to look at a new vacuum: • What type of flooring do you have in your home? • Do you have all carpeting, hardwood, tile, slate, etc., or a mix, and what percentage? • Are you on a 1 story, 2, or tri-level? • Do you have kids, pets? • What is the manufacturer of your carpet? • Do you have expensive floor rugs? • Would you like integrated tools? • Is vacuum weight an issue? • And so on…. This is some of the information we need to make sure you have a vacuum that’s going to do a great job on all your flooring and is a perfect fit for you and your home. Yes, you can spend the afternoon reading vacuum cleaner boxes (with a salesperson that works in different departments) and try to decide if it will do the job, if it’s worth the price, if it will last (how many will you buy over the next few years), etc., but you can’t try out the vacuum and you’re lacking the experience and knowledge of a long standing business who also fixes vacuums and know which ones are frequently repaired.
