IVMS Upper School Play - Win It or Die is available on Youtube. This play was written and acted by the IVMS Upper School Students (Venice). Good Job Guys! ~ Mr. Peter (Special thanks to Pam Syx). - - On May 22, the Upper School students performed their self-authored play titled Win it or Die. The 80 fourth and fifth grade students wrote all five acts about a group of contestants on a game show, each of whom starts on the show only concerned about him or herself. Unfortunately the game show host is a cereal killer who keeps sending the contestants to dangerous locations such as Zombie Island and the Hunger Games. (Even the so-called winners who escape to Hawaii almost get eaten by sharks and drowned by a tsunami!) A wise janitor sees the potential in the contestants and brings them to Misfit Island where they meet unusual creatures such as a short-necked giraffe, a unicorn without a horn, and a two-eyed Cyclops. The misfit creatures teach the contestants to be happy and work together - lessons they need to use in order to defeat an evil Gandhi who is also roaming Misfit Island. When the contestants finally return to the game show they realize they really did win all along, by becoming friends and learning to work together.
