Ibrahim Shuaibu The Presidential Campaign poster of Kano State Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and his Rivers State counterpart, Rotimi Amaechi under the aegis of All Progressives Congress (APC) have flooded Kano streets. The posters were seen along Zaria road to Ibrahim Taiwo, Gyadi Gyadi flyover, Maiduguri road and Gidan Murtala road by Kano technical college Highway Bridge. It was learnt that the posters were put up Thursday night which the residents of the city woke up early morning of Friday and saw them in different locations. They allegedly expressed happiness with the development. Malam Sani Adamu of Kofar Nassarawa quarters told THISDAY that “this is a welcome development to people who were agitating for progressives’ people. “I will support their ambition 100 per cent because they have done better in their separate states, like here in Kano, everybody can attest to the fact that Kwankwaso is the messiah of modern Kano”. In his reaction also, Special Assistant to the Governor, Malam Hashimu Suleiman Dungurawa told THISDAY that “Kwankwaso is the best material for presidency come 2015, he is the man that change the political atmosphere of Kano from dark days to modern politics”. Dungurawa explained that the Governor and his Rivers State counterpart will be the best ticket in 2015 presidential election, while appealing to the party stakeholders and delegates to vote for them to contest the presidential ticket under the APC. He assured that the Kano people were solidly supporting Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso to contest the Presidential ticket in 2015, adding that “we will go round the country and campaign for them”. All efforts to reach the state Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Umar Haruna Doguwa proved abortive as his mobile phone is unreachable.
