Id just like to point out the tragic/ comical irony that, out of an irrational post Cold War fear of all things socialist, we have handed our so called democracy to the oxy moron that is free market capitalism, and in doing so, limited both personal liberties and upward social mobility, such that we look more and more like a soviet state with each passing administration. If believing that human beings should work together toward a common good makes me a socialist, so be it, and if being a socialist makes me unpatriotic, so be it. I would lay down my life for the ideals this nation was founded upon, but how could I possibly pledge allegiance to an entity that commits mass murder in the name of material gain, and claims it serves God in doing so? With a God such as this, what need hath the world of a devil?
