Id like to chat about alternatives to intellectualising reactionary politics. What happened to my attitude when I discovered the history of Classical Political Economic thought re. the reclamation of The Commons is an example: Knowing that the core of government revenue sources CAN be shifted to collection and distribution of economic rent is capable of ushering in economic justice, social equality and relief of the entire range of associated physical and psychology symptoms of disfunction. The idea is clear. The implications need to be debated. Im suggesting that a kind of voluntary or draft form of National Service structure will be needed to take care of dirty work - delivery of labor for unattractive public services and infrastructure needs. Id like to have this discussion with people who are familiar with the intricacies of public service requirements. E.g. These roles could be managed, locally and nationally, in a military-style operation. Discussions with confrontational people are nearly always counterproductive. The symptom of disorder weve identified thus far, from PTSD to ATDD to policies such as Social Inclusion, are in need of updating, preferably by those familiar with the potential of the Georgist economic theory.
