Id like to introduce you to two very special, very lucky dogs. Hopefully you will share their stories. Stitch and Mountie are the newest additions to the BEDR family. Stitch was found with his leg caught in a trap and brought in to another rescue. They didnt have a foster available, and asked if we could take him. Despite the large amount of dogs requiring medical care we have had as of late, we just couldnt say no. Stitch is having his foot amputated today. Unfortunately, he was caught in the trap too long, and the damage was too severe. Please keep him in your thoughts as he heals. Mountie, an older Bull Mastiff gentleman, was found wandering out of town by some rcmp officers. They contacted us, and of course we couldnt turn this gentle giant down. Mountie should weight about 120lbs. He tips the scales at 70lbs. He is also blind, and is covered in sores. Mountie is putting on weight with the help of his foster home. He is on a special diet, and will require more tests as he gets healthier to determine any underlying conditions. As always, our vet bills are our biggest expense, and we just cant say no to a dog in need. Thanks to you all, we can keep helping dogs like Stitch and Mountie.
