Id like to pose a question in light of yesterdays tragedy. What do you do to ensure everyone in your group is safe? Ive ridden in groups a lot and am finding out how lucky Ive been with one group in particular for how safe they ride but Ive been in groups that are too fast and groups that are too slow. If you ride for experience level of the slowest rider, you become a traffic hazard. If youre riding fast with new riders in the group, its an accident waiting to happen. Some people, at both ends of that spectrum, should not be on a bike period. But what do you do when your group lets in people who should not be on a bike? Theyre going to hurt themselves or the poor bastard who gets stuck riding next to them.
