Id like to share a VERY SCARY incident that happened to me at 7:15 tonight at Hobby Lobby Webster location. First, I NEVER go out at night. I was looking for a special adhesive and made a trip to Hobby Lobby. I parked my car right in the middle of the parking lot and went directly into the store. For some reason, I took my credit card out of my wallet and shoved my wallet under my seat. I had my cards in my pocket. I went directly the the back of the store. While looking, I noticed a tall black man, prob 40s, white ball cap, cream color shirt, decent clean cut man standing on the end cap of where I was at. It didnt strike me as strange, but I did realize he was near. I didnt see what I was looking for and decided to go near the sticker section ( back of the store). When I got to the aisle, I noticed this man pass me in the main store aisle. Still, I did not think anything. I then went to another section and noticed again this man make a fast pass. My instincts told me something wasnt right. Then, when I started to pay attention, I noticed this man walk FAR away from me, ( always his back towards me), make a turn BUT,, he would peep back to see where I was. I saw this and knew he was following me. This happened about 3 more times. I went to the very front of the store and asked a lady if I could get an escort to my car. I explained I was being followed through the store. She at first looked at me like I was crazy. I told her to watch for a second...THEN, there he was.. He was walking AWAY from me again in the very front aisle towards the Christmas area. I told her to WATCH. When he got to the end of the aisle, he appeared to make the turn and then he peeped back around the corner. He then saw me point and knew I was telling management. He walked very very fast right towards me, I was blocking the main doors. I should have taken a picture, but was so nervous.Once he got to the main doors, he ran as fast as he could on foot through the corridor & parking lot to his car. He was parked in the row second closest to the main I-45 frontage road. I ran outside to get a description of the car. I only saw him backing up and then speed off as fast as he could to the Pappas exit. He was driving a light colored 4 door car. Very similar to a Honda Accord. But, it was dark and very hard for me to see. I could only tell it was light color either silver or tan car... Again, he was a nice dressed man. TALL. He was about 63 or so. White hat, no facial hair.. I called the Webster police and filed a report. I hope everyone stays safe and be VERY aware of your surroundings. I an normally on the phone and would never probably even realized this happening ! What else I find scary is there was no reason to target me. I did not have a purse. I was not wearing any jewelry, wedding ring, watch. I am not even dressed up. He was most likely sitting in the parking lot and just targeted me when I got out of my car. I am just VERY THANKFUL for my instincts and to be home SAFE.
