Id like to share the meaning behind the name, Lotus Light, as it means so much, and is the hearts center of my work... and the mission of my business. When I became pregnant with our first born, Olivia, I spent a great deal of time in yoga and meditation. I took spiritual baths, and connected deeply with my pregnancy, and the life growing inside of me. During those beautiful times in solitude, connected to my spiritual self... and to Olivias energy, I experienced several visualizations of a deep pink lotus flower, slowly opening. These visualizations were extremely vivid and powerful. I experienced this during a reiki healing session, as well. I went into the session seeking time to connect to my daughters energy, in preparation for the work we would be doing together during her birth. The visualizations I experienced during that session were vibrant and comforting. I felt my energy merge with the energy of my unborn daughter. It was absolutely beautiful. During my labor, I had a hard time letting go... as many women do. Labor is an intense dance between power and surrender. It is unlike any other human experience. It is sacred. It is a rite of passage. As I labored into transition, I found myself feeling completely helpless. I had to choose to let go, embrace the incredible power and wisdom of my body, and surrender control. It was hands down the most profound experience of my life. During those moments, the imagery of the slowly opening lotus burned into my focus. It was as a lighthouse is to a ship lost at sea in a storm... I surrendered to the storm of my labor, with the peace and safe harbor of the lotus in my sights. Lotus Light is a, healing, constant and unwavering safe harbor, for those caught in a storm, during their most profound moments. It is a guiding light along your journey. Blessings, Coley
