Id like to tell you all a story about appreciation, especially since many have been posting your daily gratitudes this month. In just the past 2 weeks, both our water heater & a pipe under our bathroom sink busted. The first happened as I was rushing to shower for NIN & discovered there was NO hot water (and stinky me needed to bathe!) Thankfully I have awesome inlaws who live close & whos door is always open, but thats only part of the story. While I rushed to get ready for the concert, the plumber worked on the problem & had it working by the time I returned that night (and for only $500!) :) Yesterday we woke to the bathroom floor doubling as a lake. Water EVERYWHERE :( Again our kickass plumber had it fixed within hours & this time for only $7!! Cleaned up all the water too. Yes, we know hardworking professional plumbers that would be there in an instant to fix it, arriving clean & not overcharging. I can give you their numbers. But this plumber Ive told the story about… I call him babe & you know him as Brent Ambrose. Yes, even as I was walking out the door to the concert, he kissed me goodbye hunched over w/ his bad back, inside the water heater closet filled w/ spiders & ick, telling me to have a great time at the show. And I wasnt even yet awake before the bathroom sink was fixed, because hed gotten up to pee, discovered the mess, cleaned it up, went to Do-It Center for the part & fixed it. I am so very lucky to be married to this man who is also part handyman, and can fix pretty much anything. He saved us a TON of money doing it himself, which is great because right now we dont have any extra to spend (aint that just Murphys Law?) and told me the only labor charge was a kiss from me :) I love you Brenty. Thank you for being everything a husband should be… and more.
